Welcome back to Weekly Fix. I’m Tim Cooke and we’re breaking down your swings every week on in hopes of helping you play your best golf in 2013.

This week, we’re going to take a closer look at Aaron’s golf swing.

I love the way Aaron sets up to the ball and he gets in very good position at the top of his swing.

But it’s on the downswing that Aaron has some issues, as he comes out of his posture, which we’ll try to help him with in this week’s video.

Popular golf instruction tips:  Setup Full SwingPower Accuracy

In summary, some of the ideas I would suggest that everyone take away from this analysis would include the following:

• Many amateur golfers stand too far away from the ball at address when they're hitting a driver. You don't ever want to feel like you're reaching for the ball, so just relax and let your arms hang down naturally.

• Posture is most often associated with setup when it comes to the golf swing, but if you want to be a solid, consistent ball-striker you must be able to maintain 'side bend' (or posture) on your downswing instead of extending the body too soon.

• If you have trouble staying in your posture on the downswing, try keeping your right foot grounded as long as you can. This will help you keep your pelvis back and sequence your downswing from the ground up, both of which will allow you to stay in your posture better.
