DUBLIN, Ohio – A heavy downpour in the early afternoon Saturday brought the third suspension of play at this Presidents Cup. Play is scheduled to resume at 2:15 p.m. ET.

Though the Americans and Internationals played through some intermittent showers in the morning, the heavy rain after the noon hour proved too much for the course. Though no weather horn blew, the PGA Tour began pulling players off the course at 12:57 p.m. with the leadoff fourball match at the 15th hole. Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley led Ernie Els and Brendon De Jonge, 2 up, in that match. The Americans led in three of the five fourballs with the Internationals ahead in one and another all square.

The last downpour left puddles on greens and in bunkers and small streams running through fairways. Plus, the walls of some bunkers were affected with sand falling away. Maintenance staffers were out in force to work on the course. There was a 1-hour, 22-minute weather suspension on Thursday and a 2-hour, 36-minute weather suspension on Friday.
