Darren Clarke has split with the caddie he had on the bag for his Open Championship triumph last summer.

Clarke split with John Mulrooney after shooting 72-81 to miss the cut in Abu Dhabi. The split was amicable, according to Reuters. The relationship began in May after Clarke overtook Chris Wood for the Iberdrola Open in Spain.

The Ulsterman has not announced a replacement on an interim or permanent basis. Clarke has three weeks to decide, however, as he will not play again until the WGC-Accenture Match Play, starting Feb. 22 in Arizona.
