Lucas Glover plans to make his 2012 PGA Tour debut at next week’s Northern Trust Open after spending the first month of the season on the DL nursing a knee injury he sustained before the season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

According to Glover’s manager with Crown Sports Management the former U.S. Open champion plans to play the Northern Trust followed by the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

Glover, who sprained his right knee while paddle boarding before the opener in Kapalua, had hoped to play his way into the top 64 in the World Golf Ranking and qualify for the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, but he has dropped from 69th to start the year to 79th.
