Lucas Glover planned to make his 2012 PGA Tour debut at next weeks Northern Trust Open, but after a practice session with swing coach Mike Taylor at Frederica Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga. this week, he decided his ailing right knee is not ready for the rigors of Tour life.

According to Glovers manager with Crown Sports Management, the former U.S. Open champion is still sore from an injury he sustained prior to the season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions while he was paddle boarding in Hawaii.

Glover also planned to play the Mayakoba Golf Classic following Los Angeles but will decide next week after he tests the knee again when he will start 2012.
