Harmon has Sunday OT

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – It was a particularly busy morning for Butch Harmon, the swing coach for PGA Championship front-runner Nick Watney and Dustin Johnson, who is tied for second place and paired with Watney on Sunday.

Harmon, who has been something of a swing coach afterthought in the Tiger Woods-Sean Foley media frenzy, bounced between his two pupils Sunday afternoon and gave both a quick pep talk before heading up to grab lunch, two brats, and assume his duties in the SkySports TV booth.

“Both feel very good,” Harmon said. “With Nick we needed to calm him down a little. He wanted to tee off 45 minutes ago.”

As for what pearls of wisdom he told his young charges Sunday?

“Don’t get caught up playing each other,” he said. “There are a lot of other guys out there.”
