Inkster faces consequences of rules violation

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – I think it's fair say finding someone who isn't disappointed for Juli Inkster after her disqualification from the Safeway Classic this evening will be a difficult task.

Inkster gave this brief quote regarding the incident which occurred on the 10th tee:  'I had a 30-minute wait and I needed to loosen up. It had no effect on my game whatsoever, but it is what it is. I'm very disappointed,' she said in a statement.
The Ghost Creek layout here at Pumpkin Ridge features three consecutive par-5s, groups get backed-up and players wait on the tees. Inkster grabbed a weight from her bag, stuck in on her club and made a few swings while waiting to hit her drive.

Our Golf Channel cameras captured this moment; it seemed like an innocent mistake but it went against the letter of the golfing laws and Inkster must face the consequences.
