SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. – Beatriz Recari’s “Iron Woman” streak ended with the cut being made after the suspended second round was complete Saturday morning.

Recari earned that nickname with her long run of consecutive cuts made. The run ends, however, at 46 in a row. Recari’s last missed cut before this was back in 2011 at the Navistar Classic.

Sixty-eight players at 6 over par and better made the cut. Recari’s first-round 81 doomed her despite a second-round bounce-back with a 71. She wasn’t the only big name to miss the cut. Rolex world No. 3 Suzann Pettersen, former world No. 1 Yani Tseng, Juli Inkster and Sandra Gal also missed the cut.

Recari, by the way, didn’t have the longest active streak of cuts made going in the LPGA ranks. Karrie Webb and Paula Creamer shared that distinction. Here are the ongoing Iron Women streaks:

Webb – 56 (last missed cut: 2010 P&G NW Arkansas Championship Presented By Walmart)

Creamer – 56 (last missed cut: 2010 LPGA Tour Championship)

Jiyai Shin – 49 (last missed cut: 2010 LPGA Tour Championship)
