Geoff Ogilvy used his wedge to finish the final two holes of his first round at the JBWere Masters, according to Australia-based The Age.

Arriving to the tee at the par-3 seventh – the 16th hole of the round for Ogilvy and playing partner Luke Donald at Victoria GC – with pent-up anger over missed opportunities, the Aussie chunked his tee shot into the front bunker.

After a rushed bunker shot that led to a bogey, Ogilvy slammed his putter into his bag. At the penultimate green of the round, the '06 U.S. Open champion realized the putter shaft had been bent.

Unable to replace his putter damaged in anger under the Rules of Golf, Ogilvy played out the final two holes by blading his wedge.

Ogilvy managed to par the final two holes to shoot even-par 71 and trail leader Ian Poulter by six shots.
