The Thompson family continued their winning ways on Thursday, just five days after 16-year old Lexi became the youngest professional winner on the Ladies European Tour.

LSU freshman Curtis Thompson, 19, posted a 13-under 274 to win the Dixie Amateur by a shot ahead of Daniel Berger. The final two rounds were played at Heron Bay Golf Club in the family's hometown of Coral Springs, Fla. For the first two rounds of the event, the field was split between Heron Bay and the East Course at Woodlands Country Club in Fort Lauderdale.

The Thompsons are the first sister-brother duo to win the major amateur title. Lexi won the Dixie Amateur at the age of 12.

It is the second win of the year for the family in their hometown. Lexi won a one-day mini tour event at TPC Eagle Trace - her home course – back in February.
