Martin Kaymer and Tiger Woods can ascend with strong finishes.
Kaymer, No. 2 in the world, can move up with a win or second-place finish. He moves up with a win if Westwood doesn’t advance to the final. He advances with a runner-up finish if Westwood doesn’t advance to the quarterfinals.
No. 3 Woods moves back to No. 1 if he wins and Westwood loses in the first or second rounds and if Kaymer doesn’t make the final.
