David Toms retained a share of the lead at the halfway mark of the Humana Challenge, but saw Ben Crane and Mark Wilson join him at the top of the leaderboard Friday.
Crane shot 9-under 63 to match the first-round effort of Toms, who shot 65. Both were at 16 under through two rounds. Wilson joined them atop the leaderboard late in the day when he birdied the 18th hole for a 62.
First round co-leader Camilo Villegas was at 13 under, despite a bogey-free second round at the Palmer Private course. He was tied with Harris English, Chris Kirk and Bobby Gates.
Phil Mickelson shot 69 on Friday to move to 1 under par for the tournament, though 15 shots out of the lead and T-124. Good friend and practice partner Dustin Johnson pulled out of the tournament after shooting 4-over 40 on his front nine on Friday, citing a lower-back injury.
