ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – So did Inbee Park exhaust energy required to win the Ricoh Women’s British Open this week by going home to South Korea last week?

Even Hall of Famer Se Ri Pak wondered if Park might risk being overwhelmed by the demands and excitement in South Korea over her bid to become the first man or woman to win four majors in a single season.

Park, though, says the trip actually energized her. When she's home in South Korea, she stays with her parents.

“I was tired physically, but I was a lot happier, mentally, being able to see friends and family and being able to communicate with my fans when I get back home,” Park said. “Physically, I'm a bit tired, but, mentally, I was a lot happier, and that gives me a lot of energy coming into this week. So I'm trying to take the positives out of it.”
