ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Yani Tseng, the No. 1 player in the Rolex Women's World Rankings, said she learned something by losing the final-round lead to Stacy Lewis at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in the year's first major.
'I probably learned I don't hold the trophy on the tee of the first hole,' Tseng said Tuesday at the Wegmans LPGA Championship.
Tseng literally grabbed the Kraft Nabisco trophy off the trophy stand at the first tee when she arrived with Lewis in the final Sunday pairing. It ultimately proved to be bad mojo with Lewis coming from behind to defeat Tseng.
Tseng is already a major championship force, bidding to win her fourth major at just 22. She arrives this week coming off a victory in the last LPGA event, the State Farm Classic two weeks ago. It was her second LPGA title this year, her fifth worldwide in 2011 alone.
