The U.S. Golf Associattion announced on Thursday the final three players for the 8-member team that will represent the U.S. in the 2012 Curtis Cup.
Lisa McCloskey and Erica Popson, both 20, and 19-year-old Emily Tubert join the quintet of players appointed to the team in December.
McCloskey, a senior at the University of Southern California, was defeated by Tubert in the finals of the 2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links.
Popson was medalist or co-medalist in four consecutive tournaments in her sophomore season at the University of Tennessee. She also won the SEC Championship for the Lady Vols.
The trio joins Amy Anderson, Lindy Duncan, Austin Ernst, Tiffany Lua and Brooke Pancake on a U.S. team which will seek an eighth consecutive victory in the 37th Curtis Cup, June 8-10 at the Nairn Golf Club in Scotland.
