BETHESDA, Md. – If you were looking for an update on Tiger Woods’ injured elbow Sunday, he wasn’t offering much.

“I'm still doing the same thing,” he reiterated after handing out the AT&T National trophy to Bill Haas. “I start the strengthening process this week and see where that puts me. And then ball striking after that.”

Woods has previously maintained that he will make his next start at the upcoming Open Championship.

His comment on Sunday mirrored those of earlier in the week, when he said it was doctor’s orders for him to miss this tournament.

“I listened to my docs and not touching a club,” he said Wednesday. “We're treating it, and eventually I'll start the strengthening process of it. Then start hitting balls to get up to speed for the British.”
