LEMONT, Ill. – If Tiger Woods is eliminated from the FedEx Cup Playoffs today at the BMW Championship, he’ll have officially gone a year since his last PGA Tour victory.

And while his 2010 PGA Tour season will feel over, he’ll actually have another shot to avoid a winless year in Tour sanctioned events. He’s signed up for the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai in November. A victory there would count as an official PGA Tour victory but wouldn’t count on the money list.

The PGA Tour lists Woods and Phil Mickelson as having played 24 times in PGA Tour events. If you count the WGC-HSBC Champions from last fall, it’s 25 times. Woods record getting the best of Mickelson in those 25 head-to-head pairings is 11-10-4.
