Green Jacket Auctions retrieved the ball McIlroy threw into the crowd that was caught by Lee Horner of Leeds, England. The golf ball is now up for auction until Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. ET.
At the time this article was written, the current bid was around $3,500.
McIlroy may have discarded that ball, but you know what they say ... one man's trash is another man's treasure.
