Randolph ended up getting into the Valspar Championship field at the deadline.
Tiger Woods sent golf fans everywhere into a frenzy on Friday when he announced he will be teeing it up the next two weeks at both the Valspar Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
That group of fans even includes the guy he bumped out of the Valspar field, at least for now.
Jonathan Randolph, the 266th-ranked player in the world, was moved to first alternate after Woods announced he'd be playing at Innisbrook, and the 29-year-old took the news about as well as anyone could, tweeting, "@TigerWoods effect is real....just got hip checked out of the field by the GOAT #ImNotEvenMad."
As first alternate, there's still a chance Randolph could join the 14-time major champ in the field next week. But it sounds like he'll be just fine if he ultimately winds up on the outside looking in.
