TROON, Scotland – Henrik Stenson was striping it all day on Sunday at Royal Troon en route to a record-tying 63 and his first major championship victory. On the back nine, Stenson did a little bit of stripping (notice the additional 'p'), too.
After a birdie at the 16th to maintain a 2-up lead over Phil Mickelson, Stenson shed some layers as he headed to the 17th tee (see below):
This may be the first time Stenson has won a major championship, but this isn't the first time we've seen the Swede show some extra skin on the golf course.
