Watch: McIlroy hits balls at Yankee Stadium

The last time we saw Rory McIlroy in competition was at the PGA Championship, when he mentioned that it was possible we "might not see [him] until next year" as he was thinking about sitting out the rest of the season with a nagging rib injury.

But he looked good on Tuesday hitting golf balls ... at Yankee Stadium.

McIlroy is in New York City for the first FedEx Cup Playoff event, The Northern Trust, and he hit balls from behind home plate into the outfield and answered questions about his future.

The defending FedEx Cup champion and four-time major winner said that he planned on playing in all four playoff events and that while he wasn't 100 percent healthy, he felt as though he could compete.

The event was just the latest in a long line of baseball-golf mash-up stunts, as we've seen multiple parks converted into golf courses in recent years.
