During the four seasons that Ive been a part of the Big Break, there have been many surprises. But I dont think anything comes close to the birdie that Gerry got in the playoff hole of elimination in this weeks episode. To recap, the first shot went extremely left of left and landed on top of a ' Im not sure if you call it a ridge, a mesa or a mountain ' but it was way up in the air.
Amazingly it came to rest on a flat lie close to one of the cameramen. Gerry was able to climb up and take a shot. This one flew to the edge of the green and then rolled down onto the cart path. From there, Gerry took a drop and came thisclose to knocking in his chip for EAGLE! The ball lipped out and he followed it up with a tap in for birdie on a hole that, by all accounts, could have been an eight. In the process, Kevin was eliminated. It figures it would take a miracle play to knock out 'The Eliminator.'
