- Homecoming: Rory McIlroy wins the U.S. Open in record fashion and the golf world joins the party with players from all generations drawing comparisons to Tiger, and players withdrawing from events to join the celebration in Northern Ireland.
- CVS Underway: Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson had no U.S. Open hangover as they posted a record tying 13-under 58 on Monday in Rhode Island at the CVS Charity Classic hosted by Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade.
- LPGA Major Season: The Wegman's LPGA Championship starts this week on the LPGA Tour kicking off a six week summer stretch that include three majors, Rolex Rankings No. 1 Yani Tseng will be looking for her fourth career major at just 22 years old.
- Wimbledon Underway: Play began at the All England Lawn & Tennis Club on Monday with Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Venus Williams amongst the names moving onto the second round. As luck would have it, Day 2 brings a rematch of last years epic, record setting three-day match between John Isner & Nicolas Mahut.
