Course Survey
Desert Mountain Club (Cochise)
Par 70 - 6,929 yards

This is the first time Desert Mountain is hosting the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. The course previously played host to the Regions Tradition from 1989 to 2001. Based on those years, here are some key things to look for this week:

-7th Hole: The 215-yard Par 3 is not only one of the most unique and picturesque holes on the course but also played the toughest hole on the course in 2000 & 2001, very rare for a Par 3 (and played only 194 yards those years). In 2000, 20 birdies were made on the hole versus 27 double bogeys or higher, and in 2001 it was 23 birdies with 24 double bogeys or higher.

-Scrambling: The last nine winners of The Tradition from 1993-2001 when it was played at Desert Mountain all finished Top 10 in Scrambling.

-Iron Play: The last five winners of The Tradition from 1997-2001 when it was played at Desert Mountain all finished Top 10 in GIR and Ball Striking.
