Appleby Climbs to No 11 in Rankings

World RankingsStuart Appleby, fresh off his season- opening victory at the Mercedes Championships, moved up three spots to No. 11 in this week's Official World Golf Rankings.
Tiger Woods marked his 231st consecutive week atop the rankings. Vijay Singh, who finished second behind Appleby, took second followed by Ernie Els, Davis Love III and reigning U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk.
Masters winner Mike Weir came in sixth, while Retief Goosen took seventh. Kenny Perry moved up two places to eighth and David Toms, who is out of action while rehabbing after wrist surgery, remained in ninth. Ireland's Padraig Harrington, Europe's top golfer, dipped two to round out the top-10.
Appleby came in 11th while Darren Clarke fell one to 12th. Nick Price and Tour Championship winner Chad Campbell each dropped one to come in 13th and 14th, respectively.
Robert Allenby and Phil Mickelson switched spots this week with the Australian taking 15th and the left-handed American sinking to 16th. Fredrik Jacobson stayed in 17th.
Justin Leonard rose two spots to No. 18 and Brad Faxon jumped up three places to 19th. Charles Howell III fell two notches to 20th.
