Bomb Threat Suspends Play

CLEMMONS, N.C. -- The second round of the RJR Championship was delayed for two hours Saturday after a bomb threat was discovered written on the wall of a portable toilet.
The threat was found shortly before 10:30 AM ET in a portable toilet between the eighth green and the ninth tee. The area is only accessible to players, staff and volunteers.
The clubhouse was evacuated while play was suspended and Forsyth County Sheriff's Department and members of the Special Operations Response Team searched the surrounding area. Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in but there was no evidence indicating a bomb was in the area.
The gallery was not informed because the threat was specific to the clubhouse.
