Among the international contingent in the field this week will be American Kevin Stadler, Michael Campbell of New Zealand and England's Paul Casey.
Stadler won the European Tour's Johnnie Walker Classic in Australia in February. Campbell is returning to the site where he won in 2000, when the event was called the Ericsson Masters. Casey will be looking to parlay the momentum of a 2006 season that saw him win three times.
The third event of the new 2007 European Tour season, this tournament provides international players an opportunity to compete against the best golfers from Down Under.
Defending champion Robert Allenby, a Melbourne native, leads the Australia/New Zealand contingent.
'I played with Greg Norman in the 1994 Australian Masters,' explained Campbell, 'and it was fun. It was like being in a major -- an incredible atmosphere.'
Huntingdale Golf Club is hosting for the 28th straight year. The Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds beginning at 11 p.m. (et) on Wednesday and Thursday and at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The new European Tour schedule continues next week with the New Zealand Open.
