Kinchen Wins Celebrity Classic

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. -- Brian Kinchen posted a 1-under 70 on Sunday to hang on and win the Stan Humphries Celebrity Classic. Kinchen, a former NFL tight end, finished the tournament at 6-under-par 136.
Dan Quinn gave Kinchen a run for his money with a blistering 65 in the final round at Morgan Run. The ex-NHL player finished alone in second place at 5-under-par 137. Former NFL kicker Al Del Greco and ex-major league baseball player Mickey Tettleton followed at 3-under-par 139.
Kinchen won for the first time since the 1999 Duke Children's Classic and took home a $20,000 first-place prize.
Former NFL quarterback Peter Tom Willis finished alone in fifth place at 2-under-par 140.
Rich Rhoden, who has won this event four times, carded his second straight round of 71 to take sixth place at even-par 142.
Tournament host Stan Humphries shared seventh place with Dick Anderson, Billy Joe Tolliver and John Ebersole at 2-over-par 144.
