Moore Medalist at US Senior Womens Am

USGASINRIVER, Oregon -- Patty Moore shot a 1-under 70 Sunday to claim medalist honors at the 2007 USGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship at Sunriver Resort's Meadows Course.
Moore claimed the top spot at 3-over-par 145.
'The morning rounds are easier to score because the wind is down,' said Moore. 'I'll take it. I'd have taken another solid round like I had (Saturday), but it got a little better than that.'
Toni Wiesner was one stroke further back at 4-over-par 146 after firing a 69 on Sunday. Carolyn Creekmore and Cecilia Mourge D'Algue shared third place at plus-five.
Four-time champion Carol Semple Thompson shared ninth at plus-9.
Beatriz Arenas, who led after the opening round of stroke play, struggled to an 11-over 82. That dropped her into a tie for 11th at 10-over-par 152.
Two-time defending champion Diane Lang ended in 14th after the stroke-play portion at 11-over-par 153.
Patricia French notched the seventh known hole in one in championship history on the par-3 16th. She carded a 78 and shared 27th to advance to match play.
