Nationwide Heads to Central America

Nationwide TourPONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The Nationwide Tour unveiled its 2004 schedule on Friday and its first stop is in Central America for the inaugural Panama Open.
The Panama Open is set to kick off the season February 5-8 at Panama Golf Club. From there, the Nationwide Tour moves to Australia and New Zealand for the Jacob's Creek Open and New Zealand PGA Championship, respectively. Those two events used to begin the season for the tour.
There is one other new tournament on the docket, the Scholarship America Showdown on July 8-11. The event will take place at Troy Burne Golf Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Nationwide Tour will head north of the border for two events in 2004. The Samsung Canadian PGA Championship in Ontario is on tap for July 22-25, while the Alberta Classic in Calgary is set to tee off August 19-22.
The season will come to an end at the Nationwide Tour Championship, scheduled for October 28-31 at a site to be determined.
