Rain Washes Out Legends Play

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the day Friday caused the suspension of play at the Legends of Golf. A little over half the field was able to tee off before play was halted at approximately 9:30 AM ET.
First-round action is scheduled to resume at 7:30 AM. Saturday with players picking up from where they left off when play was halted. Tournament officials still plan on playing 54 holes. They will attempt to finish the first 36 holes on Saturday.
Morris Hatalsky was in the lead at 2-under par through four holes when play was stopped.
Bob Eastwood, John Mahaffey and Andy North are tied for second at minus-1 through five holes. Andy Bean and Mike McCullough, who are through four holes, while Rodger Davis and Walter Hall, who have played three holes, are also at 1-under par.
Defending champion Doug Tewell is among those who have not teed off yet.
