Teske Tops Sorenstam in Playoff

VIENNA, Ohio -- Rachel Teske birdied the final two holes Sunday to join three others in a playoff, which she won with a birdie on the third extra hole to win the Giant Eagle Classic.
Teske shot 3-under 69 to tie Lorie Kane, who fired a Squaw Creek Country Club course-record 63, Annika Sorenstam (68) and Jenny Rosales (68) at 12-under-par 204.
The four players returned to the 18th tee for the first playoff hole. All four parred that hole and off to the 10th they went. Each golfer also parred the second extra hole and then headed back to No. 18.
On the 18th, all four lwomen had birdie opportunities. Teske was the only one to convert her putt. She claimed her first victory of the season and the seventh title of her career.
Beth Bauer, Catrin Nilsmark and Se Ri Pak shared fifth place at 10-under-par 206. Third-round leader Jean Bartholomew struggled to a 2-over 74. She finished in a tie for 12th at 7-under-par 209.
Mi Hyun Kim, the 2002 champion here, finished at 5-under-par 211 after a 4-under 68 on Sunday.
