Zhang Gets Invite to Masters

AUGUSTA, GA -- Lian-Wei Zhang will become the first Chinese golfer to play at the Masters after the 38-year-old received a special invitation on Wednesday.
'Lian-Wei Zhang has proven his ability on the European Tour and in Asia,' said Masters chairman Hootie Johnson. 'We are excited to have an outstanding representative from China in our field.'
Zhang, who became the first Chinese player to win on the European Tour when he captured the Caltex Masters in Singapore last year, will join the field at Augusta National for the PGA Tour's first major from April 8-11.
