Stanford Still Leads at Mens NCAAs

Just as they were after one round, the Stanford Cardinal remains the team to catch halfway through this years Mens Division 1 National Championships.
Off in the morning wave, Stanford posted a team score of 2-under 278 and stand at 7 under after 36 holes. The only other squad to post two sub par rounds are the 2002 champions, Minnesota. The golden gophers were one of final teams finish on Thursday, and did so with a team total of 4 under par. The gophers are just one shot behind Stanford.
Coastal Carolina is five back, and will be grouped with the previously mentioned duo on Friday morning. The Golden Horseshoe gold course was again challenging, and quite honestly I am surprised there are not more low scores.
Defending champs Oklahoma State are 13 behind, while many pundits favorite this week, Georgia, are in a hole 18 back and in a tie for 16th.
Individually, Minnesotas Bronson Lacassie went bogey free en route to a 65. Bronson is 8 under through two rounds and two clear of his nearest pursuer.
Again, the leaders go off early on Friday morning, with temperatures expected to near 90 degrees.
