History Lesson: Shackelford on Pebble Beach changes over time

Believe it or not, the par-3 17th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links may be harder today than it's ever been in its history.

The reason? Pebble Beach is nearly 100 years old, and the wear-and-tear has shrunk this green to a fraction of what it originally was. Golf course design expert Geoff Shackelford explains just what happened with the 17th hole over time, as well as many other notable changes the course has endured in its storied history:
