CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Tiger Woods has missed his sixth cut as a professional, but never so badly.
A 79 at Quail Hollow left him at 9-over 153, eight strokes above the cut line at Quail Hollow.
Woods appeared to give up after a double bogey at No. 14 and he also dropped two shots at No. 15, only the second time in his career he has recorded back-to-back double bogeys.
Woods has played 188 PGA Tour events as a professional that had a cut, so his batting average is still impressive.
Today, however, was an embarrassment – two fairways hit.
He got away with some rubbish at the Masters, but couldn’t do it here.
