CHASKA, Minn. – Hazeltine National is always going to suffer when compared to the year’s other major venues. Augusta National has Magnolia Lane, Hazeltine has a bass pond on the back nine; Turnberry had the majestic Ailsa Craig, Hazeltine has a pale blue water tower dotted with wires of every sort; Bethpage had a bold, boisterous crowd . . . well, two out of three isn’t bad.
