Johnson was among four players who had not hit a single shot this week before play was suspended on Friday and Sunday.

‘Today was the first day I got on the course, but definitely felt good,’ Johnson said.

Twenty-two players shot under par in the first round. Defending champion Steve Stricker posted a 2-under 71.

Before the first round was completed, players were back on the course for another 18 holes Monday afternoon in an effort to play 54 holes by Tuesday.

Players again teed off Nos. 1 and 10 beginning at noon local time. Snedeker and Stricker will be last out for Round 2 at 1:10 p.m. (6:10 p.m. ET).

Conditions Monday remain blustery, with sustained winds of 20-30 mph and peak gusts from 35-40 mph. When play was suspended Friday, gusts exceeded 50 mph. On Sunday, officials recorded gusts of 48 mph.
