Former President George H.W. Bush died late Friday at his home in Houston, Texas. He was 94 years old. Bush was a World Golf Hall of Fame member with an extensive family history in the game. The golf work paid it respects to the 41st President of the United States.
Golf and our country lost a true gentleman and a friend. I had the honor of playing golf with President Bush and he joined us at our inaugural event in DC in 2007. He was also an integral part of the Presidents Cup. Mr. Bush accomplished so much in his life and will be missed. pic.twitter.com/XzrgZqtea3

#RIP41... was fortunate enough to meet him at the 2004 Ryder Cup. As an 11 year old kid I didn’t understand how cool it was to meet a past president, but I’ll never forget how nice and gracious he was me. Condolences to the entire Bush family 🙌🏽

Pausing at this hour to consider the passing of President 41. Resilient, witty and an ongoing passion to bring civility to the world. May he rest in peace now with his special wife, Barbara. pic.twitter.com/1WGC6s7oCe

Was lucky enough to have met President Bush at the Shell Houston Open in player dining. He walked over to my table where I was sitting with my wife and introduced himself. He then introduced us to Barbara who he called his “silver fox”. The man had charisma and adored his wife 🙏🏽 https://t.co/aktP3ID4Vj

I’ll never forget the day I met 41. You could feel his “kinder & gentler” spirit throughout the room. President Bush devoted his life to public service... and for that, we should all be grateful. #Remembering41 pic.twitter.com/Tv7hL4Hd98
