The World Cup is right around the corner, and while their own coach doesn't think the United States men's national team can win the the whole thing, the rest of the country is holding on to the slimmest of hopes. We'll find out how much work they have to do to join the world's elite on the pitch in the coming weeks, but Saturday they put the world on notice. The amount of work their collective golf games could use is apparent ... and a lot.

The team took some time before their friendly match against Nigeria to visit and tour TPC Sawgrass, PGA Tour headquarters. Part of the tour was a quick stop on 17 at the Stadium Course to try their hand at the iconic island green. They should've cut the tour short.

The video is worth a watch if only because it's fun to watch world-class athletes struggle to swing a golf club.

While we certainly applaud the USMNT's efforts, we've seen better - and worse - from the women's side. Good luck in Brazil, boys!
