2014 marks the first time the U.S. Women's Open will be held at Pinehurst No. 2, but it's not the first time the event has been staged in the Sandhills. Golf Advisor's Jason Deegan details the nine golf courses open to the public that have staged a U.S. Women's Open.

Pine Needles, another Ross course minutes from Pinehurst, is there, as well as other destination courses like the Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach.
