CARMEL, Ind. – Back-to-back runner-up finishes in the playoffs left Paul Casey wondering what else he could have done.
“The consolation prize, although it’s a pretty nice one, is I’m now controlling my own destiny when I get to Atlanta,” said Casey, who finished three shots behind Dustin Johnson at the BMW Championship. “So though I’ve got no victories, it’s nice to be in that top five.”
“Seventh is a good position,” he said. “It’s just about as good as a top five in the FedEx Cup. If I win, pending something unlucky, we still have a chance to win the FedEx Cup and get to the Ryder Cup off a victory, so that’s the plan.”
