AUGUSTA, Ga. – Bubba Watson is attempting to win back-to-back green jackets and he’s trying to collect his third in the last four years. He admitted that it’s a feat that’s difficult for him to get his head around because he’s still in complete shock that he won his first Masters title in 2012.
Still, that didn’t prevent the assembled masses from asking Watson about a recent ESPN.com survey where he was pointed out as someone who isn’t exactly well liked amongst his peers.
The question was: ________ is in a fight in the parking lot. You’re not helping him.
Watson did not take it personally.
“I take it as I need to improve as a man,” he said Tuesday. “I need to get better. And I think over my career, since my rookie season to now, I’ve gotten better. But obviously there’s more room for me to improve as a man.
“I’m glad that people call me out when they do; that’s the only way I can get better. If I don’t know about it, then I can’t improve.”
