LOUISVILLE, Ky. – You’ve got to give Bubba Watson credit for at least understanding criticism and reacting to it in a positive manner.
One day after Watson yelled expletives on the golf course, threw a club and acted boorish throughout his PGA Championship second round, he took to social media to absorb those judgments.
The reigning Masters champion took similar action on Friday, when he tweeted after the round.
Sorry for my actions today! Trying to get better as person. Thanks to all who support me. #YallDontGiveUpOnMe— bubba watson (@bubbawatson) August 8, 2014
This latest admission from Watson shows that he’s reading and watching what is being said about him. That goes against what he maintained last month during The Open Championship.
“There's not been one positive thing,” he said, referring to his own media coverage. “I'm waiting on that one. Then I'll start reading. Well, I can't read yet, but I'll start.”
