Bryson DeChambeau confirmed Tuesday that he will make his PGA Tour debut at the RBC Heritage, the week after the Masters.

DeChambeau, the 22-year-old who won last year’s NCAA Championship and U.S. Amateur, will receive the maximum seven sponsor exemptions allowed to non-members once he turns pro. The Heritage is the first of those starts, followed the next week by the Valero Texas Open.

DeChambeau tied for 27th last week at Bay Hill on the strength of a final-round 66. He has played in seven pro events since leaving SMU last fall, making the cut in six of them.

Once he turns pro, DeChambeau can qualify for the season-ending Web.com Tour Finals if he earns enough FedEx Cup points to place 126-200 in the standings.
