The good news is that Emiliano Grillo has made it safely to Rio to participate in golf’s return to the Olympics.
The bad news for the Argentine, though, is that his clubs are still missing.
Grillo has kept his 10,600 Twitter followers abreast of the developing situation, first tweeting a picture of his sticks before taking off for Rio:
Entrando en clima!! Que empiece ya!!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Already feeling it! Bring it on!! #olympics pic.twitter.com/RjvIP7h9cM
But the updates from that point took a decided turn:
Spent yesterday fighting weather, running thru airports and looking for hotels at 3am and missed a fun day with some who support me most.

Grillo, who won his first PGA Tour event at the Frys.com Open in October and is currently ranked No. 39 in the world, was still without his clubs as of Monday afternoon. But the search did prompt him to publish a lighthearted poll on social media as to his clubs’ whereabouts:
Dónde crees que están mis palos?

Where do you think my clubs are?
Si fuesen pokepalos estarían todos buscando no? #Pokemon
