Love to return to Tour after collarbone surgery

ORLANDO, Fla. – Davis Love III is poised to return to the PGA Tour after having surgery on his right collarbone in January.

Love broke his collarbone in three places while snowboarding with his son, Dru, in Sun Valley, Idaho, but told he’s on schedule to return to the Tour in two weeks at the Shell Houston Open.

“I can hit all the way through the bag, but they are trying to limit the smashing into the ground, hitting out of the rough and from bad lies in the bunker,” Love said. “I can do everything, they just want me to be careful.”

It’s the second consecutive season Love has been slowed by injury. He had surgery in July last year to repair a torn labrum in his left hip and made just 15 starts.
