McIlroy testing TaylorMade equipment at WGC-HSBC

Rory McIlroy has been testing TaylorMade drivers and fairway woods ahead of this week’s WGC-HSBC Champions, Golf Channel insider Tim Rosaforte reported Tuesday on “Morning Drive.”

Rosaforte received confirmation via McIlroy’s manager, Sean O’Flaherty, and no comment from TaylorMade.

McIlroy signed a lucrative, 5-year deal with Nike Golf in 2013, but Nike announced in August that it was abandoning the golf equipment industry.

McIlroy used Nike equipment in his last event, the Ryder Cup, save from a switch to a Scotty Cameron putter.
