Scott won at Colonial in his first start as the top-ranked player in the world, while McIlroy rallied from a seven-shot deficit to claim the BMW PGA Championship in England. They'll tee off at 1:16 p.m. ET Thursday alongside Jason Day, who is making his return to competition after injuring his left thumb. Day won the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in February but has made only one start since then, tying for 20th at the Masters.
Matt Kuchar will begin defense of his title alongside two former Memorial winners in Justin Rose and Steve Stricker. Rose, making his final start before the U.S. Open, won at Muirfield Village in 2010, while Stricker captured the title in 2011. The trio will tee off at 8:26 a.m. ET in the opening round.
Still in search of his first top-10 finish on the PGA Tour this season, Phil Mickelson will play the first two rounds with Jordan Spieth - who sits one spot ahead of him in the world rankings - and Bill Haas. Here are some of the groups to keep an eye on early in the week in Columbus:
Round 1 tee times (all times ET):

1:05 p.m. (1st tee): Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Bill Haas
