They’re the only players who went undefeated all week.
Shadoff went 3-0-1 for England.
Kung went 3-0-1 for Chinese Taipei.
Shadoff capped her week Sunday defeating Chinese Taipei’s Ssu-Chia Cheng, 1 up.
Kung capped hers defeating Japan’s Ai Suzuki, 2 and 1.
Shadoff is building some nice momentum for her return home to England next week for the Ricoh Women’s British Open. She tied for eighth at the U.S. Women’s Open two weeks ago. She’s hoping the English team’s performance this week inspired junior girls back in England, where women’s golf needs a boost.
“We are such a small nation of so little golfers, that I think it would just be great for girls' golf, to see that this can be done,” Shadoff said.
Kung will take her momentum from this week’s play to the Women’s British Open and the Olympics, where she will represent her country again.
